Welcome to my Crowded House page! They may be gone, but they're definitely not forgotten. The group of musicians collectively known as "Crowded House" broke-up officially in late 1996. While this was distressing for the group's die-hard fans, we recognize that the musical legacy that is Crowded House will carry on for a long time to come. I like to think of this page as a sort of retrospective look at the fabulous body of work left behind by the Kiwi band. Click on the links below to check out my quick reviews of the albums:

Crowded House

The group's self-titled first album, gave the world probably the group's most well-known single, "Don't Dream It's Over". There is a wonderful spectrum of emotion in this album. Other singles (in North America) were "Something So Strong", "World Where You Live" (my personal favourite!), "Now We're Getting Somewhere", and "Mean To Me". This album is truly a classic.

Temple of Low Men Temple of Low Men was the group's second effort, and provided one of the most haunting songs in pop music. "Into Temptation", is a beautiful, eerie tune that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I'm not exactly what was released as singles in North America, but I'm working on it. Stay tuned.

Woodface Crowded House's third album, Woodface, marked an interesting change in the group - the addition of Neil's older brother, and one of the founding members of Split Enz - Tim Finn. Tim and Neil co-wrote many of the songs on this album which led to a decidedly Split Enz feel. That is not to say that there aren't some CH gems here - especially the haunting "Fall at Your Feet". One of my personal favourites.
